Open Dental has one main window with seven modules. This makes navigation easy and keeps the screen and task bar uncluttered.

To switch modules, click the associated button in the vertical toolbar on the left side of the window.

Modules include: .

	Appointments Module: Manage your schedule and patient appointments from this Module.
	Family Module: View and input patient information and insurance plan details from this Module.
	Account Module: Manage patient accounts, including claims and payments from this Module.
	Treatment Plan Module: Manage and prioritize treatment plans for patients.
	Chart Module: Input clincial information, chart procedures, and more from the Chart Module.
	Imaging Module: Organize scanned documents and photos, and take radiographs from the Imaging Module.
	Manage Module: Manage various daily practice operations, like sending claims, creating deposits, and more

Two Modules Open at Same Time: Sometimes you may want two modules open at the same time. For example, you may want to view the appointment schedule while managing accounts. Or perhaps you want to compare two different patients side by side. In these scenarios, simply open two instances of Open Dental.
