Ports and IP Addresses for eServices

On some networks, the eConnector and eServices Listener require specific ports and IP addresses to be whitelisted in your firewall.

Firewall and Network Requirements

If your office uses a firewall or network security appliance, please review the requirements below and coordinate with your IT provider as needed.

Required Open Ports

The following outbound ports must be open to allow communication with Open Dental servers.

Core Service Ports

49900 - 50000 Range

60000 Range

Note: These ports should be open for outbound communication.

IP Address Whitelisting (When Required)

In some network environments, port exceptions must be tied to specific IP addresses. If your firewall requires this level of restriction, whitelist the following IP address and port combinations.

50.206.249.203 and 38.119.165.120

Ports:

Ports:

50.206.249.205 and 38.119.165.125

Ports:

50.227.194.165 and 38.119.165.126

Troubleshooting

If after adding ports, the eConnector still does not connect, try installing the eConnector to a different workstation.

If installing to a different workstation does not work, contact your IT Professional. There is likely an issue with the network architecture.
