In the Main Menu, click Setup, Program Links. Double-click on WikiStandalone.

Wiki Standalone is part of the Open Dental Wiki feature. It allows a read-only copy of the wiki to be opened, even if the Open Dental program is closed.

Setup

Set up a Read-Only Server. A Read-Only Server is required to use Wiki Standalone. Add server details to Read-Only Server Setup in Preferences.

In the Program Link:

1. Check the Enabled box.
2. (Optional) Edit the clickable bridge button.
   1. Text on button: Uses WikiStandalone by default. Change as desired.
   2. Button Image: Import an image to show on the button (22 x 22 pixels).
3. If using clinics, click Hide Button for Clinics. Select which clinics the button should display on.
4. Click Save.

Launch Wiki Standalone

Once enabled, Wiki Standalone can be launched from the selected toolbar area in Open Dental. Alternatively, launch WikiStandalone.exe from the Open Dental installation folder.

When opened in Standalone mode, no edits can be made to a wiki page. Only the Back, Forward, Home, and Search buttons are available.
