eClipboard 25: What Patient Sees

On a tablet device, launch the eClipboard 25 app.

eClipboard features vary depending on which settings are enabled in eClipboard Setup.

Patient Check-in

If Allow self check-in is enabled, patients start by entering their first name, last name, and birthdate. Preferred names are taken into consideration if they are entered in the Edit Patient Information window.

Patient Authentication

If Require patients to complete authentication before showing sheets is enabled in eClipboard Setup, patients are prompted to enter a code to verify their identity.

The patient selects their preferred way to receive the authentication code:

Once the code is received, the patient can enter the code and click Submit to proceed to the Checklist.

Checklist

The Checklist displays items for the patient to complete upon check in. Completed items are denoted with a check mark. Items that were started but are incomplete are denoted with an exclamation point. Tap an item to open it and take action as needed.

Checklist Items

Various options can appear as Checklist Items in the eClipboard app. Some items are added manually and others can be added automatically. Below are details on the available item types.

Navigating when a checklist item is open:

Patient Forms

Forms that the patient needs to fill out for the appointment are included in the Checklist. This can include Sheets or eForms. The Sheet or eForm description is used for the checklist item.

Image Capture

Various items may appear in the checklist to prompt the patient to take a photo. These items can be skipped.

Options include:

Tap Take Photo to launch the device camera. Users may be promoted to allow access to the camera.

Make Payment

Opens the Payment Portal to allow the patient to make a payment.

Treatment Plans

Displays a Saved Treatment Plan that has been sent to eClipboard. Patients can sign digitally. The Heading for the Saved Treatment plan is used as the description for the checklist item. See eClipboard: Treatment Plan for more details.

Payment Plans

Displays a Payment Plan sent to eClipboard. Patients can sign digitally. The description of the checklist item varies depending on the Payment Plan Date of Agreement. See eClipboard: Payment Plans for more details.

Return Screen

Once all checklist items are submitted, a message displays requesting the patient return the device. The message can be customized in eClipboard setup, Message to show patients after successful check-in.

Click Finish to return to the Check-In screen, or wait 20 seconds to refresh automatically.

Office Login

Before using eClipboard, office staff must sign into the app using the eServices Signup Portal Credentials. These credentials are only needed upon first login to eClipboard, or after manually logging out of the app.

If using the same device between clinics, completely log out, then log in using the credentials for the appropriate clinic.

Menu

Click the three line icon in the upper left to open the app menu.

Accessibility

In the top toolbar of the eClipboard app, tap the Accessibility icon .
