Query Monitor
The Query Monitor window allows you to view query requests made to the MySQL database server as they execute in real-time.
In the Main Menu, click Help, Query Monitor.
This window can remain open in the background to allow monitoring during normal use of the program. Activity displayed is only from the instance of Open Dental from which it was launched. It does not allow you to monitor all queries being processed by the MySQL server.
Query Feed: Grid shows details on queries sent to the MySQL server.
Start: Click to begin monitoring queries.
Stop: Click to suspend monitoring queries.
Clear: Click to clear the Query Feed.
Filter: Click to apply or create Groups to filter out queries from the Query Feed. See following Query Filters section.
Log: Click to save a log of queries captured while monitoring. Monitoring must be stopped to use. Log file is saved to the QueryMonitorLogs folder in the OpenDentImages folder.
Query Details: Highlight an entry above to see complete details on the query submitted.
Copy: Copy contents of the Command window from Query Details.
Displays a list of Filters associated with the selected Group Name. Queries containing these Filters are excluded from the Query Feed.
Filters: Grid shows Filter Text added to the currently selected Group.
Group: Change the currently selected Group, edit a Group Name, or create a new Group.
Add: Click to add Filter Text to the selected Group.
Import: Click to import a new Group with its Filters.
Export: Click to export all Filters for the currently selected Group.
Edit Filter Text for a Group. Double-click into an existing Filter from the Filters grid in the Query Filters window.
Group Name: Select the Group Name that the Filter Text applies to.
Filter Text: Enter text to exclude queries that contain said text from the Query Feed.
Delete: Click to delete the Filter for the selected Group Name.
Save: Click to keep changes.
