EHR Webinar: An Introduction to EHR for Open Dental Users

An Introduction to EHR for Open Dental Users

Audience: Dental providers, offices with high Medicaid patient volume.
Open Dental EHR is a complete EHR-certified software used by eligible providers in the EHR Incentive Program.

Participation Requirements

  • Medicaid Eligibility: A provider must meet one of the following criteria:
    • A minimum 30% Medicaid patient volume
    • A minimum 20% Medicaid patient volume and a pediatrician.
    • Practice predominantly in a Federally Qualified Health Center or Rural Health Center and have a minimum 30% patient volume attributable to needy individuals.
  • Fees: 12 months of support starting on contract date PLUS a calendar year fee of $720 per provider for EHR functionality and reporting. We will provide a signed and dated one year contract that will be renewed annually.

Program Requirements?

  • Medicaid year 1: AIU
  • Medicaid year 2-6:
    • Reporting periods
    • Meaningful use
    • Overview of objectives (one sentence of what each is)
    • Setup is required before you begin
    • Workflow will likely change to capture required data.
